Marketing Manager

Strategically located in Hong Kong and Kuala Lumpur, SuperCharger is the first FinTech accelerator dedicated to both early-stage and growth-stage startup companies. SuperCharger’s recent expansion into Kuala Lumpur, in partnership with Allianz and MDEC, positions the accelerator to leverage on Malaysia’s strength as a leading economy and technology pioneer in the ASEAN region.

SuperCharger concluded a successful second program in Hong Kong in 2017. The participating companies signed 12 commercial contracts to build POCs with SuperCharger’s corporate partners, Standard Chartered Bank and Fidelity International. The program led to USD 670K investment committed, 28 deals in the pipeline, 214 business leads introductions and 7 FinTech awards. SuperCharger has designed a structured curriculum to create success.

During the 3-month program, SuperCharger facilitates mentorship and advice in areas such as market entry, regulatory obligations, and joint ventures opportunities. Participating companies can benefit from local advantages and make inroads with institutions and entrepreneurs in major cities across APAC. The accelerator is also supported by the industry’s leading VCs and organizations such as Arbor Ventures, VISA, Baker & McKenzie, HKEx, and Cyberport.

Responsibilities

ABOUT SUPERCHARGER
SuperCharger is Asia's leading FinTech Accelerator. We provide global entrepreneurs with the resources and support they need to expand in Asia, and partner with financial institutions to grow their businesses.


GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Research, write and edit engaging marketing content
  • Create, measure, monitor, and analyze marketing campaigns and SEO strategy.
  • Work with Graphic Designer on concept development for marketing campaigns
  • Establish relationships with partners and sponsors (international financial institutions, government agencies, universities, law firms, venture capital firms, investors and startup mentors) to devise cross-brand synergies and mutual promotion
  • Monitor competitors’ activities; develop and implement strategy for viewer acquisition and retention across various social media platforms and the SuperCharger website
  • Develop marketing materials for events and promotions (e.g. brochures, posters, and EDM)
  • Manage SuperCharger’s community of subscribers and implement email campaigns
  • Lead media outreach in Asia (with a focus in Hong Kong and Malaysia). This includes establishing and maintaining connections with key media channels (e.g. South China Morning Post)
  • Reports to Malaysia Country Director

Requirements

 

  • Holds a diploma or degree in Marketing Business or related disciplines
  • Must have at least 3 years of work experience at brand marketing agency, digital marketing or other marketing related business
  • Experience in B2B marketing and public relations
  • Command excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Experience in writing professional contents
  • Fluency in English; (fluency in Cantonese and/or Mandarin is a plus)
  • Experience in SEO, Google Analytics, Adwords, social media marketing and data management
  • Knowledge of finance and/or FinTech topics is a plus
  • Must be self-motivated and flexible
  • Up to 25% travel to Hong Kong or other countries
