eCommerce Manager

Gifts Less Ordinary is a luxury online marketplace offering unique and personalised gifts, which launched in October 2015. The company is headquartered in Singapore, but has online stores in Hong Kong, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Philippines, Taiwan, the UAE and the U.S. Gifts Less Ordinary artfully curates, and fuses together, the world's most creative businesses with the inimitable oriental charm of Asia - bringing together the best of personalised goods for both consumers and corporations. Gifts Less Ordinary has over 6,000 products featured on the site. Although the main site targets the Consumer audience, it has just recently launched the first-of-its-kind Corporate Gifting platform that connects small creative businesses to the online Corporate Gifting market.


As part of our international and B2B expansion plans, we are looking to recruit an eCommerce manager. We are a small but very tight team, who values innovation, kindness and out of the box thinking.

The primary objective of this role is to drive our technology and digital marketing strategy forward and deliver real tangible results. We have some big plans for 2018, and want you to be the driver of these.

You will be working alongside our local agency to improve the existing platform, as well as set the road map moving forward. You will be responsible for helping to set the digital marketing agenda, so experience in Facebook, Google Analytics, email marketing is a necessity.

Skills we are looking for:

  • Leveraging current platforms (Magento and WordPress)
  • Leverage eCommerce best practices
  • Weekly digital reporting. Experience with Google Analytics is essential. 
  • Comfortable working across all social media channels
  • Vast experience of Facebook Advertising
  • Support A/B testing initiatives across multiple platforms and media
  • Provide recommendations on best way to implement marketing campaigns
  • Assisting with campaign creation, tracking and optimisation
  • Oversee configurations made on CMS, etc.
  • Digital Reporting (Google Analytics certified an advantage) 
  • Paid Search management of our Adwords executive (Google AdWords certified an advantage) 
  • Display / Programmatic advertising experience (not mandatory though)
  • Search Engine Optimisation knowledge and experience
  • Monitor operational effectiveness of different solutions (hosting quality, reconciliation issues, defects rate, etc.)
  • A highly creative mind, someone who is not  afraid to give things a try
  • Work with business and technical teams to propose options to meet business requests, by leveraging current solutions, teaming up with other markets or proposing new digital solutions
  • Lastly, but not least, a fun outgoing individual. We are a small team but with a big personality.
